Animals - Jazz - Baseball

The Kansas City Zoo is located on 202 acres (no wonder they have a tram) and is the home to ~1,000 animals. It was a sunny day and a was able to get a few good photographs of the animals. I especially liked the Zoo's suspension/swinging bridge. This 227-foot long bridge connects the African plains area of the Zoo to the Congo area. It truly is a swinging bridge; elder people were hanging on for dear life while crossing.

Crazy spiny tree - they were everywhere in Kansas.

Weston in the viewing area of the lion exhibit; we need some rocking chairs at our Zoo!

I LOVE MEERKATS!

After the Zoo, we also hit the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
