Floating Garden - Osaka

MUSHY ALERT!!! For our first evening in Osaka, Ken planned for us to go to the Floating Garden. Another observatory, cool! Wait a second, why are there so many young couples here? It turns out the Floating Garden is a popular nightspot for couples in Osaka and the atmosphere and view are enough to make anyone twitterpated!

Ken ready to ascend the final five-storeys in a glassed-in escalator.

Photograph of the two glassed-in escalators.

Us on the roof observation gallery. Since this area is outdoors, no umbrellas are allowed. The rain turned into a light sprinkle when we were on the roof.

The floor of the roof had small specks of fluorescent material, which was illuminated by black lights making the floor look like stars in the sky.

Views of Osaka.

Indoor observation gallery (hint: checkout the reflection).

Photograph looking up at the Floating Garden from the ground.

Viewed from afar, the observatory looks like a space ship floating between the two towers of the Umeda Sky Building. This building is said to be Osaka's most dramatic piece of modern architecture.
