So our littl' Manni Hammy passed away two and a half weeks after bringing him home. He had been sick and we were treating him with antibiotics and Pedialyte. However, after two days of showing no sign of sickness, we came home to find him extremely ill. Our veterinarian administered fluids to him subcutaneously and the technician gave him antibiotics. The next morning he was too weak to take any medication and when we returned home from work he had moved on to hammy heaven. Ken cleaned his matted fur so that we can bury him in the same area as Brown Hamsta.
We will miss his strange quirks, which included: excessive fluff moving (he once buried his igloo hut), eating his colored chew toys (resulting in green and orange poop - we removed these toys once we discovered he was eating them), stacking and mutilating his apple orchard sticks, and non-stop wheel running (even with his bubble-butt he was quick).
