Sykes Family
It takes a lot of air-miles for the Sykes clan to come together; Tammy, Jason, and Baby Jacob coming from Alaska and Christine and Dennis coming from Virgina. We've been lucky to have Ken's Mom, Christine, in town for a while for her knee replacement surgery. In the morning, we had family photographs taken by a more than enthusiastic photographer. In the afternoon, Ken, Tammy, Jason, and Dennis did some shooting in the cold desert; Grandma Sykes and I watched the baby. I never knew bottle feeding a baby could be so messy. :P In the evening, Ken cooked-up some of his fabulous ribs (slow baked in the oven and then grilled); they were delicious with a little bit of kick.
Meeting Baby Jacob for the 1st Time!
On 01/09/2010, we met our nephew, Jacob, for the first time! Jacob was born 11/04/2009 at 9-lbs. 1-oz., 22-inches long, and he is all cute.
Brighton
It's been a few years since we've hit the slopes. This season we finally got out and went up to Brighton with friends/co-workers, Jenni and Matt. One time down the bunny hill and I was ready for the real deal. I have to admit, I've never worn a helmet while snowboarding; this time around I rented one and now will always wear one. No crashes for me, but the helmet keeps your head really warm (I hate being cold).

For Rich's 40th birthday, Ken and I were mischievous and during the night we decorated his office...
