It was a MINI Christmas Party at the local Chuck-A-Rama Buffet today! I'll admit it, I LOVE their SCONES! We have been slacking on the monthly rallies, so it was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The white elephant gift exchange was hilarious; we came home with a talking "Hot Alert Button" (see below for a visual).

Port O' Call
We couldn't miss out on being with friends and seeing the Hard Rockin Johnsons play at Port O ' Call on Saturday, so... after some 8-hour Tylenol we were able to make it to the club. The company was great and the band did an awesome job entertaining the crowd. The band sang Nickelback's 'Rockstar' - loved it! Kandi advised me to watch the music video; needless to say, I then purchased it on iTunes.
18 MILES
It was another snowy Saturday for our Team-In-Training run. Although this Saturday's run was longer than the previous one, the snow was wetter and therefore, easier on the feet. Soggy socks definitely beat trudging through the thick-heavy snow!
(That's a lot of cold ducks on the pond!)

16 MILES
Winter has arrived! Today we ran 16-miles along the Jordan River Parkway Trail. It was a difficult run in the snow. At the end of our run there was a buildup of 6-inches on the ground! Our Team-In-Training group was not the only ones on the trail this morning; the trail was also in use by other crazy runners, what appeared to be a Boy Scout Troop, and a cross-country skier.
Festival of Trees
Friday we checked out the Festival of Trees! There was plenty to see and the crowds of people were not too bad. Below are some of our favorite Gingerbread houses/trees and some additional trees that made us think of friends/family.
